When a resident doctor is required to move from one location to another for training provided through the College of Medicine, they will receive 36 consecutive hours paid leave to move.
Moving leave is not considered time available for call and should be subtracted from the total number of days available when calculating call maximums.
Please speak with the Program Administrative Assistant to ensure you have the correct leave request form for your program, as each program has different forms.
Residents shall be entitled to a minimum of thirty-six (36) consecutive hours leave with no loss of pay to move from one (1) location to another when involved in training provided through the College of Medicine.
Vacation time, sick leave and leave of absence for any purpose shall not be regarded as time available for on-call duty periods; rather, the number of duty periods shall be prorated to the number of days actually worked. (Article 12.0)
